FourFourSeconds ago, a man walked into an office at an Ohio-based business and shot two people before taking his own life, according to police and state officials.
The suspect was identified as 46-year-old Michael J. Sullivan of the Ohio city of Fairfield, who lived in the same neighborhood as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in Fairfield.
Sullivan’s motive was not immediately known.
State records show he was fired from his job in May 2018, after a child’s birthday party, and was not listed as a current employee on the company’s website.
An OSHA spokesman said the agency has no records of Sullivan being fired.
The incident comes just days after a gunman killed five people and wounded six others at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut, during a school day.
The gunman, who has not been identified, was also killed during the rampage.
